About the Nominee: Marlene Warheit’s dedication to her students and school and her devotion to education are impressive. She does whatever it takes to ensure her students’ success, by tutoring, preparing extra lessons, and purchasing items for her classroom. She is selfless. She knows how to challenge and push her students to work their hardest and meet their goals. She has an open door policy with all parents, providing them with her personal phone number and making herself available at all times. Ms. Warheit spends a lot of her free time developing ideas to raise funds for the school. She is a true leader. She runs a tight ship, treating her students as responsible young adults. She instills in them a sense of self-worth and an eagerness to learn; doing all of this while greeting each of them with a morning hug!

Mrs. Warheit has been my son’s teacher for almost 3 years – grades 1, 3 and now 4. She is a great teacher and works with her students to get the best from them. My mother is a very unique teacher while implementing challenging curriculum she tries hard to incorporate laughter and love to every lesson.
